19 Cameroon		Ferdinand Kongo Edima is named as interior minister to replace Samson Ename Ename.
19 Senegal		In the presidential election runoff, Abdoulaye Wade of the Senegalese Democratic Party wins 58.5% of the vote, defeating incumbent Abdou Diouf of the Socialist Party (41.5%).
20 Nepal		On appointment of King Birendra Girija Prasad Koirala forms a new Congress Party-based government following the resignation, on Mar 17, of Krishna Prasad Bhattarai. Koirala is sworn in on Mar 22.
23 Rwanda		President Pasteur Bizimungu resigns. The next day Vice President Paul Kagame takes over as interim president.
