Hama Amadou is sworn in as prime minister. On January 5 the new cabinet is sworn in. It includes Nassirou Sabo as foreign minister, Mahamane Manzo as home minister, Sabiou Dadi Gao as defense minister, and Ali Badjo Gamatié as finance minister.
